Old Testament Foundations

Providing a great overview of the first half of the Old Testament (Genesis to 2 Kings).

Christian Worldview

This dynamic subject will examine Christian perspectives not only on life and the world, but on topics like education, the arts, the new atheism, other religions, and Melbourne culture.
Class times: Thursdays, 1:40pm to 4:40pm (TBC).

Principles of Evangelism

A very practical course with Dr Phillip Scheepers on sharing your faith.
Class times: Thursdays, 1:40pm to 4:40pm (TBC).

Christian Worship (intensive)

A great subject for pastors, worship leaders and church members who want to think through the complexity of contemporary worship on the basis of a strong biblical and historical understanding of reformed worship.

Dr Murray Capill will teach this unit as an intensive, from 3rd to 7th May (TBC), with some online teaching in advance.

Christian Ministry in Islamic Contexts (intensive)

Ideal for anyone with a heart and calling to reach people of Islamic faith with the gospel. Dr Phillip Scheepers will lead this intensive and help develop your understanding of the Islamic worldview, its practice and diversity in the contemporary world, with additional emphases on forms of Christian witness among Muslim people and the growth of Christianity in the Islamic world.

New Testament Greek A

Here’s a unique chance to learn the language the New Testament was written in. Dr Martin Williams will equip students with the basic tools for translating biblical Greek, laying a foundation for a deeper exploration of the New Testament.
Class times: Thursdays, 9am to 1:30pm (TBC)

The Fourth Gospel (English and Greek)

Dr Martin Williams will guide this exploration of John’s Gospel, its theological message, and its great subject, Jesus Christ.
Class times: Tuesdays, 10am to 1pm (TBC, + 4x one hour live-streamed tutorials for NT017 students)

Principles and Practice of Old Testament Exegesis

Dr Stephen Lewis (TBC) will teach this unit that is designed for students who already know Hebrew and are developing exegesis skills for teaching and preaching the OT.
Class times: Tuesdays, 2:40pm to 5:40pm (TBC)

The Doctrines of Grace and Eschatology

This unit explores how the saving work of God intersects with our lives and considers the importance and nature of the new creation and the period leading into it.
Class times: 8x Wednesdays, 9am to 2pm (TBC)

Classes begin on 16th February.
